One person was transported to the hospital following a three-vehicle collision Wednesday morning at the intersection of Lakeway Drive and West Steve Wariner Drive.
According to Russell Springs Police, the accident occurred just before 9:30 yesterday morning when a 2008 Ford Ecoline operated by 27-year-old Dylan Shepard of Russell Springs struck the rear of a 1994 Chevy Geotracker operated by 49-year-old Stacy Franklin of Jamestown, causing Franklin’s vehicle to collide with a 2015 Nissan Rogue operated by 57-year-old Sherry Powell of Jamestown, who was stopped on Steve Wariner Drive waiting to turn left onto Lakeway Drive.
Franklin was taken to Russell County Hospital for injuries. No other injuries were reported from the collision.
Russell Springs Police Officer Vance Davis is the investigating officer. He was assisted on scene by the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Russell County EMS.
