A Russell Circuit Court jury has found a Russell Springs man guilty of using electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activity, a Class C felony.
Following a two-day trial, the six-man, six-woman jury deliberated just under 30 minutes before returning a guilty verdict around 2:30 p.m. Friday against 35-year-old Zachary Grider. The jury later deliberated approximately 35 minutes before recommending Grider serve seven-and-a-half years in prison.
Grider was arrested by Kentucky State Police on December 28th, 2024, and indicted by a Russell County grand jury in April 2025.
The case was prosecuted by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office before Circuit Judge Sara Beth Gregory.
Grider was remanded into custody following the trial. Formal sentencing is scheduled for November 24th before Judge Gregory.
