A new superintendent of schools has been hired by the public school district in neighboring Adair County.
The Adair County School Board of Education unanimously chose to hire Jason Faulkner to be the superintendent of Adair County Schools in a special called meeting earlier this week.
Faulkner is from Laurel County and attended the meeting with his family.
Faulkner’s contract will pay him $136,000 annually for four years. His contract begins July 1st and runs through June 30, 2027.
