A couple of transportation cabinet projects get underway today in Russell County.
A portion of KY 379 is temporarily closed as crews work to replace a cross drain beneath the roadway.
Beginning today, KY 379 is closed to through traffic at the intersection of KY 1058 near the old Union Chapel Elementary (mile point 8.3).
The closure is expected to be completed by Friday, June 30th.
Also, a portion of Warner Ridge Road (KY 3281) is now closed to through traffic for a bridge replacement project.
The road is closed at the bridge over Jobbes Fork at mile point 1.7, which is located between Story Lane and Lawless Cemetery Road.
The road is expected to reopen August 14th.
Signed detour routes are posted during the closures.
