Shepard taking over as interim police chief in Russell Springs

The Russell Springs Police Department has a new interim chief.

Bryan Shepard, who has served as the Assistant Police Chief for the city’s police department, has taken over as the interim chief with the upcoming retirement of Tim Pierce.

Pierce has served as the city’s police chief for the last two years, and will retire effective July 31.

Meanwhile, Shepard, who joined the department as Assistant Chief shortly after Pierce took over, will now head up the city’s police force.
