RCH approves PTO policy change

The Russell County Hospital Board of Directors met earlier this week, ultimately approving an update to the hospital’s existing paid time off policy.

Under the new guidelines, the hospital will separate out holiday from vacation and hospital employees will no longer lose hours at the end of the year, according to Hospital CEO Scott Thompson.

Employees will now have an accrual limit where accrual stops when an employee reaches a certain amount.

Also, Thompson said the local healthcare facility’s triennial community health needs assessment is now ready for publication.
