Longtime Russell County 4-H Shooting Sports member Zach Walters was recognized earlier this week at the Russell County Fiscal Court meeting.
Walters will be representing Russell County and the state of Kentucky during the upcoming National 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska in muzzleloading in June.
At the event, 4-H youth from across the country will compete in compound archery, recurve archery, air rifle, air pistol, .22 rifle, .22 pistol, shotgun, muzzleloading, and hunting skills.
Walters, a senior at Russell County High School, has been a member 4-H shooting sports for nine years. He is the son of Randy and Lora Walters.
