A Campbellsville man who had two active warrants out of Russell County was arrested earlier this week on drug charges in Columbia following a theft investigation.
Columbia Police responded to a reported theft on Scott Street on Monday night. Officers located a male individual at the former Dreamland Motel on Burkesville Street and recovered some of the items that had been reported as stolen at the Scott Street location.
Jeffrey Wright, 49, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property as well as one count each possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance heroin. Wright was additionally found to have two active warrants out of Russell County.
