The Russell County Sheriff’s Office recently received a clean audit from the state auditor’s office.
Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts Mike Harmon’s office recently announced that the Russell County Sheriff’s tax settlement account received what is known as a clean audit, meaning there are no instances of noncompliance and the financial statements are fairly presented.
The auditor’s office also noted there were no matters of internal control over financial reporting that would be considered material weaknesses.
