The case against Lee Maynard, who is accused of murdering his half-brother in Jamestown earlier this month, was waived to the grand jury during a preliminary hearing this morning in Russell District Court.
Judge James Lawson found probable cause for the case to move to the the grand jury, which meets again at the end of May.
Kentucky State Trooper Zach Scott, who investigated the case, also testified at the hearing, saying their was an eyewitness to the the alleged shooting that killed 22-year-old Charles Maynard at a Fox Lane residence.
Maynard, who is being represented by the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, remains lodged in the Russell County Detention Center on a $1 million cash bond.
