The Russell County Laker Baseball team defeated Cumberland County at home last night.
The Lakers came out on top 12-2 over the Panthers.
Aidan Antle drove in three runs for the Lakers, and Trace Stringer drove in two.
Austin Bartrug pitched 4 2/3 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs while striking out six to earn the win.
JV picked up a 10-1 win over the Panthers.
Mason Jasper got the win on the mound, striking out 8 over 3 innings.
The Lakers are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday against Graves County and Warren East.
