Kentuckians owning fewer than 5 acres now need licenses to fish and hunt on own property

Kentuckians owning less than five acres now will need license to hunt and fish on their own property due to a new law passed by the Kentucky Legislature.

The bill was initially vetoed by Gov. Andy Beshear on March 24. However, the state’s House and Senate both overrode the veto, passing the bill on March 29.

The bill was also enacted as an emergency, which means it takes effect immediately.
