Lady Lakers Win Garrard County Invitational

The Russell County Lady Laker golf team brought home another championship Thursday, capturing the team title at the Garrard County Invitational held at Old Bridge Golf Club in Danville.

The Lady Lakers posted an impressive team score of 322 to earn first-place honors in the tournament.

Leading the way for Russell County was Carleen Meyers, who turned in a career-best round of 69 to finish second overall. Carly Shearer also recorded a personal-best performance, shooting a 76 to place fourth overall.

Congratulations to the Lady Laker golf team on winning the Garrard County Invitational, and congratulations to Carleen Meyers and Carly Shearer on achieving career-best rounds.
