Governor Andy Beshear signed a bill yesterday aimed at protecting domestic violence victims.
The new law builds on a program shielding victims’ home addresses from voter rolls, and expands the program to mask their addresses on other publicly available government records.
The new law also removes the requirement that survivors have an emergency protective order to hide their addresses on public records. Instead, it will allow victims who sign a sworn statement to have their addresses shielded from the broader list of records.
