Russell Springs woman indicted on arson charge; man indicted on drug and gun charges

A Russell Springs woman was indicted on an arson charge stemming from a fire in June 2019.

A Russell County grand jury indicted 34-year-old Tiffany Cox on a single charge of arson 2nd degree yesterday in regard to a trailer fire that occurred on Highway 92 in Jamestown on June 18, 2019.

According to reports at the time, Cox was arrested the following day by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.

The arson charge is a Class B felony in Kentucky, and Cox was given a $25,000 cash bond, according to the indictment.

Several others were indicted by a grand jury yesterday. Those indicted include:

  • Barry J. Kerr, 48, of Russell Springs, charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree while in possession of a firearm, one second degree charge and one third degree charge, trafficking in marijuana while in possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Kevin Estes, 37, charged with burglary second degree and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Michael Diamond, 69, of Breeding, charged with theft of a vehicle valuing more than $10,000 and fleeing or evading police second degree.
  • Brandon Gadberry, 42, of Russell Springs, charged with receiving stolen property $1,000 or more and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Cody Dix, 34, of Jamestown, charged with theft of a vehicle valuing $1,000 or more.
  • Robert Burton, 59, of Jamestown, charged with criminal mischief first degree.
  • Emory L. Miller, 31, of Russell Springs, charged with receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence, and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Lonny Chaney, 43, of Stamping Ground, charged with two counts of fleeing or evading police first degree, three counts of wanton endangerment first degree, disregarding a traffic control device, and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Bobby Smallwood, 30, of Liberty, charged with wanton endangerment first degree, unlawful imprisonment first degree, terroristic threatening third degree, and violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.
  • Ronnie Conner, 59, of Russell Springs, charged with criminal mischief first degree.
  • Brandon S. Crawhorn, 38, of Russell Springs, charged with two counts of flagrant nonsupport and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Timothy Stephens, 61, of Russell Springs, charged with forgery second degree.
  • Rick Burns, 63, of Russell Springs, charged with assault second degree, driving on a DUI-suspended license second offense, driving under the influence second offense, and no insurance.
  • Angel Taylor, 31, of Columbia, charged with wanton endangerment first degree, driving under the influence second offense, driving on a DUI-suspended license second offense.
