The Lakers came out on top 9-4 over the Briar Jumpers.
Trace Stringer led the Laker offense with 3 hits, while Mayes Gosser, Adam Walters, and Carter Stapp each added a pair of hits.
Walters, Stapp, and Aidan Antle each drove in a pair of runs.
Lincoln Helm got the win on the mound for Russell County, pitching 5 innings and giving up just one run on 3 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2.
The Lakers are slated to play on the road at Wayne County tonight.
