RCHS English teacher awarded KEA Presidential Scholarship

Tyler Flatt, an English and Theatre instructor at Russell County High School, has been awarded a Kentucky Education Association President’s Scholarship, according to Rhonda Kimbler, the president of the Russell County Education Association.

Flatt received a $1,000 Rank 1 scholarship for the Middle Cumberlands Education Association governance district, which totals eight counties in the region.

These scholarships are awarded annually to active certified and ESP members in each KEA governance district. Funds are available to support members seeking a rank change, or for those seeking National Board certification. Continuing education scholarships are also available to ESP members.
