A pursuit on the Cumberland Parkway yesterday morning resulted in the arrest of a Scott County man.
According to reports, Russell Springs Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on 43-year-old Lonny Chaney Sunday morning on the Cumberland Parkway when he fled authorities and continued westbound into Adair County.
At one point in the pursuit, Chaney reportedly changed directions and began traveling in the eastbound lanes.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Russell Springs Police and Columbia Police, were eventually able to stop Chaney.
Chaney was lodged in the Russell County Detention and faces charges of fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment first degree, and disregarding a traffic light.
Chaney is also reportedly facing charges in Adair County from the pursuit.
