New COVID map has most of Lake Cumberland area in green

The latest map released by the Kentucky Department for Public Health shows most of the Lake Cumberland area in the green category, or low incidence rate for COVID-19.

Russell County is in the green, along with all other counties in the Lake Cumberland area with the exception of Casey County, which is in the yellow, or moderate level of community spread.

In total, 27 counties are in yellow and 2 are in the red category, or high community spread.

The remaining 91 counties are in the green.
