More than 3,100 workers commute out of Russell County

Data from the Kentucky Center for Statistics shows more than 3,100 workers from Russell County leave the county for work.

That’s nearly 1,000 more than the number that commute in to Russell County according to the data, and also more than the number of people that both live and work in Russell County.

The data shows that 3,146 workers commute from Russell County, and they commute to a number of counties, both neighboring and further away.

The top county Russell County workers commute to is Pulaski County, with 510 workers making that drive.

From there, 314 workers travel to Casey County and 201 to Adair County.

After that, the data shows workers making significantly longer trips.

According to the report, 200 workers travel to Jefferson County, 156 to Taylor County, and 151 to Fayette County.

The data shows 114 travel to each Barren and Cumberland counties, and 82 to Laurel County.

The report shows about 1,300 workers travel to other counties not mentioned.
