While many remain concerned about the price of gas, data shows that local gas prices have taken a small dip from last week.
Last week, we reported that local gas prices in Russell County averaged $3.19 according to AAA.
A week later, that dropped to $3.16 with some stations in the county selling as low as $3.09 Thursday night.
Neighboring Casey County has the lowest in the area, sitting just under the $3 mark at $2.99. Pulaski County sits at $3.10 and Adair County sits at $3.12.
Some neighboring counties have noticeably higher average prices though. Wayne County was at $3.22 and Cumberland County was at $3.25.
Clinton County has the highest average price in the area at $3.32.
The state average now sits at $3.18 and the national average at $3.49.
