Jamestown man arrested over the weekend in Casey County

A Jamestown man was arrested on drug charges this past weekend in neighboring Casey County, according to the Casey County Sheriff’s Office.

Troy L. Pierce, age 47, was arrested during a traffic stop on KY 70.

Pierce, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of terroristic threatening 3rd degree, tampering with physical evidence, menacing, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (meth), possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree (drug unspecified).

Following a search at the Casey County Jail, Pierce was also charged with promoting contraband 1st degree and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (meth). Pierce remains lodged in the Casey County Jail.

Casey County Deputy Jacob Atwood was the arresting officer. He was assisted by Liberty Police Officer Ron Goodpaster.
