The Russell County Lakers and Lady Lakers were both defeated on the road in a district doubleheader at Cumberland County last night.
The Lady Lakers were defeated in the first game by a score of 54-43. That loss pushes the Lady Lakers to 4-17 on the season as they remain winless in district play.
The Lakers and Panthers went down to the final shot, but Russell County came up short, falling 68-65. The Lakers fall to 8-13 and 2-4 in district play.
The Lady Lakers are back at home for a matchup with Casey County Thursday night in a JV/Varsity matchup getting underway at 5:30 p.m.
The Lakers are back at home Friday for a JV/Varsity matchup with Danville Christian, also getting underway at 5:30 p.m.
Both varsity games on Thursday and Friday will be broadcast live on Laker Country 104.9.
