The Russell County Fiscal Court approved the use of American Rescue Plan Act funds to assist with a broadband project in the Jabez community that plans to bring broadband capability to about 200 households in the area that are currently without.
Duo Broadband is managing the project and also received state funds totaling more than $3 million for the broadband expansion over the summer.
