New booster shots made by Pfizer and Moderna to protect against the current COVID-19 variants could soon be at local pharmacies and the health departments.
The updated COVID-19 boosters for the omicron variant were approved by the FDA and CDC last week with Pfizer’s for people ages 12 and up and Moderna’s for adults only. As long as it’s been two months since your last vaccine or booster shot, folks are urged by medical professionals to get the booster as soon as they can.
