The Laker Golf team had its best outing on the young season yesterday, as the Lakers shot a season-low team score of 323 to finish in the top 5 at the Rockcastle Invitational.
Playing at Burnside Island State Park, senior Bentley Perkerson led the way with a 76, followed just behind by freshman Noah McMillin with a 77.
Fellow freshman Daylon Blevins finished with an 80 on the day, while sophomores Kole Rixon and Parker Johnson finished with scores of 90 and 100, respectively.
The Laker Golf team will be in action today at Dale Hollow State Park for a matchup with Clinton and Cumberland counties.
The Lakers will play at Old Bridge in Danville on Saturday.
