The Laker Golf season is underway, as the team competed in two events last week.
The team competed in the Somerset Invitational last Friday at Eagles Nest Country Club and shot a team score of 346, finishing 9th of 15 teams.
Bentley Perkerson led the way with a score of 82, followed by Daylon Blevins with an 87, Kole Rixon with an 88, and Noah McMillin with an 89.
Last Tuesday, Russell County played at the Central Kentucky Shootout at Old Bridge in Danville.
The Lakers shot a team score of 330, good for 8th place of 19 teams in the event.
Perkerson was the team leader with a score of 78.
He was followed by McMillin with an 83, Daylon Blevins with an 84, and Kole Rixon with an 85.
The Lakers will be back on the course Wednesday, as they compete in the Rocket Invitational at Burnside Island.
