The Laker Golf team picked up a win over 16th District rival Metcalfe County on Tuesday in a match at Lakewood Country Club.
Russell County came out on top, shooting a team score of 166 on the day, finishing six strokes better than Metcalfe’s 172.
Bentley Perkerson led Russell County with a 39 on the day, with Noah McMillin just behind with a score of 40.
Kole Rixon shot a 43, Daylon Blevins shot a 44, and Parker Johnson shot a 53.
In JV action, the Lakers were led by Landon Bryant with a season-low score of 43 and Josiah Dudgeon with a 51.
The Laker varsity team will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to Kentucky Hills Golf Course to play in the 16th District championship.
