Federal government suspending offer to ship free at-home COVID tests

The federal government is suspending its program that ships free at-home COVID-19 tests to U.S. residents.

The free COVID tests through the federal government has been available for several months, but will halt on Friday.

Congress hasn’t provided additional funding to replenish the nation’s stockpile of tests, causing the stoppage.

Around 600 million COVID tests have been distributed through the program.
