Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary June 2022 unemployment rate was 3.7 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, an agency within the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet.
The preliminary June 2022 jobless rate was down 0.1 percentage points from the 3.8 percent reported in May 2022 and down 1.1 percent from the 4.8 percent recorded for the state one year ago.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for June 2022 was 3.6 percent, which was unchanged from May 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
The number of people employed in June increased by 1,085 to 1,986,909 while the number of unemployed decreased by 1,811 to 77,193.
