A three-vehicle accident on the Cumberland Parkway Tuesday afternoon near Fishing Creek Bridge in Pulaski County resulted in a fatality and closed the road for several hours.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
The accident occurred sometime around 1 p.m. central time and the westbound lanes of the parkway were closed as crews worked the scene.
Traffic was diverted onto Highway 80 while emergency crews worked at the accident scene.
Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement is working the accident and has not provided any details.
