Russell County left-handed pitcher Cody Luttrell has committed to John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois.
The community college is among the top baseball programs in its conference each season.
Luttrell was among the top pitchers in the state last season, finishing with a 0.84 earned run average and a 12-1 record on the mound.
Luttrell struck out 136 batters on the year compared to 12 walks, and gave up just nine earned runs on the season.
He was a finalist for the Kentucky Prep Baseball Report Player of the Year.
