Local gas prices continue to fall, with the average price of gasoline falling below $4 per gallon for the first time in several weeks.
According to the AAA gas price tracker, the average price of gasoline in Russell County on Wednesday afternoon was $3.94.
According to the data, the average price in Russell County is less than most neighboring counties, aside from Adair County which had an average price of $3.91.
The average price statewide is dropping as well, with AAA recording the average price at $4.12.
State-wide, average prices are as low as $3.66 in Knox County and as high as $4.59 in Elliott County.
