The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is, once again, reminding folks that yard sale and other signs illegally placed on state right of way may be removed by KYTC crews as the cabinet performs mowing operations throughout the district.
Signs illegally encroaching on state right of way pose a potential hazard to motorists and also impede mowing crews and other maintenance operations.
Kentucky law and transportation cabinet policy prohibits the placement of any signs – for political candidates, yard sales, or any other type of advertising – on state right of ways. The prohibition includes signs attached to utility poles on the right of way.
