Eloise Lawless Owens, age 79, of Russell Springs

 

Eloise Lawless Owens, of Russell Springs, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Fair Oak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Jamestown.  She was 79 years of age.

Eloise was born September 1, 1942, in the Mt. Eden Community, daughter of the late Frank and Ila Emerson Lawless.  She was the owner and operator of Eloise’s Wallpaper and Paint for over 40 years.   Eloise enjoyed her work, going to church activities and spending time with family and friends.  She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Scott (and Becky) Owens, Tim Owens, and Keith (and Janet) Owens, all of Russell Springs; her daughters, Hester (and Derek) Polston and Misty (and Derek) Blakey, both of Russell Springs; her brother, Bruce (and Connie) Lawless, of Russell Springs; her sisters, Georgia Edmonds and Wanda Brown, both of Russell Springs, and Beckie (and Mike) Acey, of Somerset; her grandchildren, Chelsey Loy, Megan Polston, Dylan Owens, Zackery Owens, Owen George, Alexis Vanarsdale, Ziah Owens, Payton Polston, Katie Owens, Daniel Blakey, Maggie Polston, Ferrah Polston, and William Polston; and her great-grandchildren, Jalyn Meece, Braydon Loy, Emberlynn Loy, Kentley Polston, Olivia George and a great-granddaughter who is “on the way”.

Along with her parents, Eloise is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Lawless; her sisters, Dene Bernard, Barb Edmonds, and Janit Burchett; and her granddaughter, Tori Lynn Owens.

Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Joe Gosser and Bro. Joe Sullivan officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dylan Owens, Zackery Owens, Owen George, Daniel Blakey, Megan Polston, and Ziah Owens.

Visitation will be held after 9:00 a.m., on Friday, until time for services in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons International for Bible placement.
