82 new COVID cases reported in Russell County last week

The Kentucky Department for Public Health reported 82 new COVID cases in Russell County last week.

Looking at neighboring counties, Adair County had 99, Pulaski County had 142, Clinton and Wayne each had 73, Casey had 40, and Cumberland County had 27.

The data also shows that 10 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in the Lake Cumberland region, including two in ICU and one on a ventilator.

598 people are hospitalized statewide with COVID and the statewide positivity rate is over 19 percent.
