Evelyn Knight (Helm) Phillips of California, Age 93 was born to the late Bill Knight and Fannie Bell Knight of Jamestown. She was married to Clarence Almer Helm from 1947 until his passing in 1981 and to Grover Phillips from 1984 until his passing in 2016.
She spent many years in California but returned to her home of Jamestown as often as possible.
Her hobbies consisted of sewing, quilting cooking and her genuine love of people. She was a longtime member of Clayton Valley Baptist Church since the 1960’s. She was a great Conversationalist and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her Daughter, Robin Helm-Vega; grandson Justin Vega; sister Agnes Bea Lile and Billie Christine McCubbin. She is preceded by a brother Bobby Lee Knight and a sister Dorothy Chapman.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 12:00 Noon CST at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with Bro. Roger Garner Speaking.
