The 27 Drive-In, a staple in Somerset in neighboring Pulaski County since 1967, announced on its social media page Wednesday night that it would not reopen for a 55th season this summer.
The popular drive-in theater, one of the last of its kind in the state and an attraction for tourists and locals alike, noted the combination of many factors damaged the viability of the operation and, after much deliberation, the decision was made to close.
The Facebook post also said that ownership is considering redevelopment options for the property.
