The Russell County Middle School Lady Laker Volleyball teams lost two close contests to Adair County in the Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference Tournaments Thursday night.
Both 7th and 8th grade teams lost 2-1.
In the 7th grade match, the Lady Lakers took the first set 21-15, but the Lady Indians took the second set 21-12 and won a closely contested third set 21-18.
In the 8th grade match, Adair County took the first set 21-16, but the Lady Lakers stormed back in the second set and won 21-12 before Adair County took the third set 21-13 to claim the conference championship.
