A 13-year-old Wayne County Middle School student was found unresponsive Tuesday morning in the school’s restroom and later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to reports from Z93 out of Monticello.
The radio station reported that the 13-year-old female was discovered by another student and was transported by EMS to Wayne County Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased by the Wayne County Coroner’s Office.
The name of the child has not yet been released.
The coroner’s office told Z93 that there was nothing nothing suspicious about the death.
