Russell Springs Police issue warning about ABC violations

The Russell Springs Police Department is issuing warnings to local businesses about alcoholic beverage control violations.

The department said while performing random ABC inspections throughout town, RSPD Officer Jeremie West observed two different incidents of underage males being in possession of alcoholic beverages at the same location within a brief period of time.

West went inside the business and spoke with the employee, who admitted that they didn’t card either of the underage boys.

The employee was cited with two counts of selling alcoholic beverages to a minor.

If anyone has knowledge that any business/employee is violating these laws, law enforcement asks that you contact the Russell Springs Police Department. Any report can be anonymous.

The police department said this incident serves as a reminder that all businesses/employees involved with alcohol sales need to be and remain diligent in doing your part to make sure the laws are being followed properly.
