A Green County man is facing 27 charges following a Kentucky State Police investigation involving child sexual abuse material.
State Police Post 15 reports 42-year-old Joseph Matthews, of Greensburg, was arrested after an investigation that began October 5th. Trooper Sean Sweat received a report alleging Matthews possessed child sexual abuse material.
Matthews is charged with nine counts each of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means; first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor involving an illegal sex act with a victim under 18; and first-degree using a minor to distribute obscene matter.
Matthews was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center and is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Trooper Sweat is continuing the investigation. State Police say additional charges could follow when the case is presented to a grand jury.
