The Russell County Lakers and Lady Lakers dropped a doubleheader at Monroe County Thursday night.
The girls lost 58-30, while the boys fell 73-64.
The Lady Lakers were led in scoring by Karley Luttrell with 9 points and Maleah Preston with 8. Addison Hart finished with 6 points and Camdin Cooper scored 5.
The Lakers were led in scoring by Mayes Gosser with 23 points and a team-high 8 rebounds. Trace Stringer scored 16 and Owen Loy added 14.
The Lakers and Lady Lakers are back on the road Friday night as they travel to Albany for a district matchup with Clinton County.
