The Lady Laker Basketball team defeated Clinton County at Laker Gym Thursday night by a score of 62-51.
The Lady Lakers jumped out to a 10-point lead at halftime and never relinquished it as they picked up win #7 on the season and their second district win.
Four Lady Lakers scored in double-digits on the night with Sophie Shearer leading the way at 17 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Hannah Yates scored 15 to go along with 6 rebounds on the night. Jaterria Coffey added 13 points along with a team-high 5 steals and Aniyah Coffey scored 11. Karley Luttrell, Addison Hart, and Maleah Preston each scored two points for the Lady Lakers.
Now sitting at 7-11 on the season, the Lady Lakers will be back at home on Saturday to host Whitley County in the Kay Morris Classic. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
