We have an update regarding a story out of neighboring Adair County we brought you Wednesday on local news.
The 13-year-old male Adair County Middle School student that reportedly attacked another male student unprovoked with a pocket knife at the school on Tuesday is facing numerous charges that include unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, assault 2nd degree, and attempted murder, according to the Columbia Police Department.
The juvenile victim did sustain non-life threatening injuries and defensive wounds in the apparent attack.
The alleged student perpetrator is being housed at the Adair Youth Development Center.
