RCMS Lakers fall short in 2 of 3 against Adair County

The Russell County Middle School Basketball teams fell short in 2 of 3 games against Adair County on Thursday.

The 8th grade team came away with a victory by a score of 63-38 with Dylan Stanelle leading the scoring with 21 points, followed by Max Davis with 10, Noah McMillin with 9, Webber Wilson with 6, Kinnett Wills and Carter Stapp with 5, Maddox Shearer with 2, and Bryson Irvin, Walker Stephens, and Adrian Eads with one point each.

The 7th grade team lost a close one, falling 52-48. Tyson Still scored 17, Alex Norton scored 12, and Gabe Browning scored 10. Tanner Stringer finished with 5 points and Mannix Bell added 4.

The 6th grade team 40-30 with Myles Davis scoring 22 points, Gunner Godbey scoring 4, Talen Huckaby scoring 2, and Will Coffey and Landon Bryant scoring one point each.

The 7th and 8th graders will play in the Middle School Classic in Bowling Green on Saturday and all three will be back at home on Monday to host Campbellsville.
