While the Lake Cumberland District Health Department saw 130 new cases across the 10-county district last week, only one of those new cases was in Russell County, and by the time the health department released its weekly report on Friday, there were no active cases in the county.
Neighboring Pulaski County saw 82 new cases last week and had 76 active cases as of Friday.
As of Friday, there were 115 active cases across the Lake Cumberland District with seven individuals hospitalized. Two deaths were reported in Pulaski County last week.
