Russell County Hospital holds 40th anniversary celebration

Russell County Hospital is celebrating its 40th birthday.

The hospital opened in July 1981, being a staple of Russell County’s healthcare infrastructure since.

The anniversary celebration included a speech from Dr. Rick Miles about the history of the hospital, along with recognitions for employees who began working at the hospital when it opened.

Paula Mann, Teresa Murray, Janet Kimbler, Lannette Harris, Lila McGowan, and Phillip Marcum all began employment at RCH in 1981 and were recognized for their years of service.

Jamestown Mayor Nick Shearer and Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas presented Russell County Hospital CEO Patrick Branco with a plaque at the ceremony as well.
