Sue Carender, of Jabez, passed from this life on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. She was 72 years of age.
Born on April 18, 1949, in Eli, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late William Spencer and Olva Kelsey Harris. Sue was a former cashier at Wal-Mart. In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching, gardening, sewing and quilting.
Survivors include her dear husband, Darlus Carender, of Jabez; two sons; Bruce Carender and Troy (and Brandy) Carender, both of Jabez; and two grandchildren; Chloe Carender and Jada Carender.
In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Harris and Danny Harris, and one sister, Joyce Luttrell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM C.S.T. on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Brother Mark Polston officiating. Burial will follow at Military Spring Cemetery, in Jabez.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. C.S.T. on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home.
Pallbearers for Sue will be Troy Carender, Steve Luttrell, Tim Oakes, Austin McDonald, Edward Jerrigan, and Larry Cuppernell.
