Lakers fall at home to Rockcastle County

The Russell County Lakers fell to Rockcastle County at home on Monday by a score of 3-1, snapping the Lakers’ winning streak at 7.

The Lakers loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but couldn’t capitalize as the game ended on a flyout to center field.

Evan Hammond got the start for the Lakers, pitching 3 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on five hits, walking three and striking out one.

Aiden Antle entered in relief, pitching 3 2/3 innings, giving up no runs and three hits, while walking one and striking out one.

Issac Roy drove in the lone run for the Lakers. CJ Vonfumetti and Nathan Lawson finished with two hits each.

The Lakers are now 25-6 on the season.
